FAQ

While there is no hard and fast answer, restaurants and bars typically sell between two months up to one year. There are so many factors that determine the timeline it would take a crystal ball to forecast.

The restaurant business is unlike any other business. To get to a successful sale, your broker needs to know the mechanics of the industry only real world hands on experience can bring. Knowing how to properly value your restaurant, where and how to market for potential buyers and the ability to negotiate are just a few of the benefits a restaurant broker will bring. What does Nationwide Restaurant Brokers bring……We bring the deal!

Absolutely yes. Think of us as the gate keepers. No one will know it is your restaurant or bar for sale until they are qualified by us and sign a non-disclosure agreement. We take confidentiality very serious.

The starting point is based on Sellers Discretionary Earnings or The SDE method. In simple terms it is what the owner benefits from the restaurant or bar including add backs. A little different from EBIDTA. This SDE is then multiplied by the current market multiplier to arrive at the listing price. Other factors such as location, strength of lease, years in business and profitability will have an effect on the multiplier. At Nationwide, we are experts in correctly valuing our clients businesses for the best possible outcome.
